Two mortuary attendants who work at the Ondo State Specialist Hospital, Akure, have been arrested by the State's police command over the missing corpse of a baby and his placenta.
The aggrieved family of Femi Owonidahun discovered that the corpse of their baby and his placenta were missing after they came for it last Saturday morning, and this got the Ondo mortuary attendants arrested. It was further learnt that only the corpse of the baby's mother was seen. The Ondo State Police Command's Public Relations Officer, Femi Joseph who disclosed that the baby and the placenta were still missing “and no trace of them had been found", added that the two mortuary attendants were ‘assisting’ the police in the ongoing investigations |
